Sebastian Bates
Founder and Lead Instructor of The Warrior Academy and Warrior Thai Boxing

Sebastian is a Reps level 3 qualified personal trainer and qualified kickboxing, Muay Thai and Tae Kwon Do Instructor based in Bath, with qualifications in Spinning, Circuits, Boxercise, and Advanced Nutrition.

Sebastian has vast experience in several martial arts, he studied Tae Kwon Do for 10 years achieving a 2nd degree black belt and winning the British Championships at black belt level several times while training in the British squad. He has studied western boxing, Jui Jitsu and travelled in Thailand to study Thai boxing both in the North and the South in a grueling routine training 8 hours a day. After serving with the Royal Marines Sebastian left in order to grow on his passion of Personal Training.

Sebastian organises “Cycling Endurance Challenges” for charity – such as the 500 mile trip from the Sahara Desert, over the Atlas Mountains and into Morocco in Africa, raising £3000 for Alzheimer’s. Most recently the cycle ride has been a 500 mile route across Turkey to Syria in October 2010 over the mountains of Southern Turkey.

Sam Lewis
Bath Muay Thai Instructor

Sam is a Thai Boxing instructor based in Bath. He has extensive experience in Kickboxing and Thai Boxing, competing twice in the national universities Kickboxing championships as well as training Thai Boxing since his teens. Furthermore, Sam has studied mixed martial arts for 5 years and has studied various other martial arts to broaden his experience.

In early 2011 Sam travelled to Thailand to train exclusively in Muay Thai with a gym of full time professional Thai fighters on the island of Koh Phangan. The training was a hard routine training 6 days out of a week and working one to one with veteran fighters and rising prospects from the island working on all aspects of Thai Boxing. After returning from Thailand, Sam has trained as an instructor under Warrior Thai Boxing and is now teaching and training others in Thai Boxing.
